Nastaran Darabi joined AEON Lab in Spring 2021 as a Ph.D. student. She completed B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Systems and Control at the Sharif University of Technology. Her current research interests include on-chip learning schemes such as reinforcement learning and quantum machine learning.
Awards: Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award, 2021.
Alex Heading link
Alex Christopher Stutts joined AEON Lab in the Spring of 2022 as a Ph.D. student while also being a member of the Andrew Electromagnetics Laboratory since the Fall of 2020. He received his BSEE in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in the Spring of 2020. His current research interests include machine learning at the edge, on-chip power integrity and circuits, and antennas.

Leila Heading link
Leila Rahimifard started her PhD program in spring 2020. She received a B.Sc degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, with focus on nano-electronics, and semiconductor devices. Further she obtained a M.Sc. from the Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in microelectronics focused on Optics and Photonics.
Her current research interests include emerging devices, neural crossbars based on memtransistor grids for higher-order deep learning.

Maeesha Heading link
Maeesha Binte Hashem joined AEON lab in Fall 2021 as a Ph.D. student. She completed her BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology(BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2019. She has worked with Neural Semiconductor Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh as a Digital Chip Design engineer in 2020. Her current research interest includes spintronic devices and deep learning.

Sureshkumar Senthilkumar joined AEON lab in Fall 2022 as a PhD student. He received B. Tech. Degree in mechatronics engineering from SRM University, India. He worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His research interests are open-source hardware and deep-learning accelerators.
