PhD Thesis

Nick Iliev

Nick joined AEON Lab in summer 2016 as a PhD student. His research interests include nanoscale neuromorphic circuits for implementing complex optimization algorithms for deep learning, big data analysis, image processing, and digital and mixed signal VLSI architectures. He also works as a hardware engineer in industry focusing on FPGA and ASIC circuits for wireless communication systems. He has several IEEE publications and two U.S. patents on VLSI circuits and algorithms for communications and signal processing.

Ahish Shylendra

Ahish Shylendra joined AEON Lab in Fall 2017 as a PhD student. He received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru, in 2014. Further, he obtained M.Tech. degree in VLSI from the National Institute of Technology Goa, Ponda, India, in 2016. His current research interests include hardware security, emerging devices, analog and mixed signal design.

Maram Sulimani

Maram Completed her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University (MSU), in 2014; and her graduate degree from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), in 2017. She joined AEON lab in Fall 2017 as a PhD student. Her research interest includes deep neural network and parallel processing.

Shamma Nasrin

Shamma joined AEON Lab in Fall 2017 as a PhD student. Her research interests include Device Technologies and VLSI system Design with emerging Technologies. She completed B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)..

MS Thesis

Andrea Ciccardi

Andrea joined AEON Lab in Fall 2017. He took is bachelor degree in "Politecnico di Torino" in 2016, and now he is part of a double degree joint program between "Politecnico di Torino" and UIC for the master degree. His research interests are mainly on VLSI system design, HW design, Embedded processor and Computer Architectures design, Neuromorphical Network, Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Driving Engineering.

Abhinaya Ganesh

Abhinaya has completed Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune ( under University of Pune) in 2015. She worked in an startup company "Emprotek Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd." from April 2015 - Dec 2016 as a project assistant. She handled PCB designing in KICAD and several projects based on Arduino. Her research interests are VLSI architecture, Hardware design and embedded systems.
